PCS had a strong showing at the Provincial AAA meet on July 7-10, 2011 finishing eighth overall in the team results.  Congratulations to all the swimmers and their coaches. As always, full results can be found on the results page.

Day One:
UVPCS had a very strong first day with seven medals and a 4th place standing in the team scores.

15&o Girls finished 6th and the Boys placed 5th

Day Two:
The day started very strong with 200BK. 11 year old Lauren Crisp achieved her first Age Group National qualifying time in the 12 and U category. Heidi Ullrich also moved into the Age Group National scene qualifying in 800 FR. And Stefanie Schmidt crushed her personal best in 200 BK for a silver medal. UVPCS ended the day in 8th spot in the team standings.

Congratulations to all five of the UVPCS swimmers who traveled down to the Fran Crippen Memorial Swim Meet of Champions in Mission Viejo, California.

Nick Sinclair was there as well representing Canada on the Junior National Relay Initiative Team. Rachael Newman, Stefanie Schmidt, Alex Kierstead, Ryan Howe and Ian Mattock represented UVPCS.

Are you looking to swim with a group of adults a couple of times a week and get some coaching? Then the Masters Stroke and Fitness may be for you. This session will take place 11:00am-12:00pm on Mondays and Thursdays at the UVic McKinnon Pool throughout the summer.

Well the 2011 Provincial AA's are over and PCS made a fine showing. A small team of 11 swimmers (and their families) accompanied coach Mark to Kelowna for the meet as well as some cake, sunshine, and hangin' by the pool.

The 2011 Vancouver Island Region Long Course Championships took place this past weekend at Saanich Commonwealth Place. UVPCS sent 71 swimmers to the meet!
