10 & Under Championships Day 2 Recap

Day two of the 10 & Under Championships continued to highlight the depth of the Pacific Coast Swimming, as more than twenty-nine best times were added to the thirty best times swam on day one of the meet.  In the overall team rankings, the Bolts found themselves finish on top with 2,435 total points, while the host Comox Valley Sharks placing second, bringing in 2,096 total points (complete point scores are listed below).

In the first event of the day, the Mixed 400 Free, Nolan Crisp, Connor Mar, Griffin Arnatt, Atanas Tchaouchev, Riley Andrusak, Lucy Hallett, Maya Stevens, Annika Rupert, Bridget Rupert, Talia Hicke, Julia Hajash, and Taryn Mercer all touched the wall in best time performances.  The momentum carried through to the Mixed 100 Fly, as Nolan Crisp and Maya Stevens captured their second personal bests of the day. 

In the Mixed 200 Back, Nolan Crisp, Griffin Arnatt, Ruby Pandachuk, Lucy Hallett, Bridget Rupert, and Julia Hajash added six best times for the young PCS crew.  The Bolts were also busy in the Mixed 100 Free, as Constantine Tchaouchev, Nolan Crisp, Connor Mar, Atanas Tchaouchev, Ruby Pandachuk, Lucy Hallett, Talia Hicke, and Taryne Mercer all clocked in with personal best times.  In the final event of the day, the Mixed 200 IM, Connor Mar, Atanas Tchaouchev, and Julia Hajash, capping off a great weekend of racing, added three more best times for the team.

The Bolts are in action next this coming weekend at the fourth installment of Sunday Race Series which takes place at McKinnon Pool on the University of Victoria campus.
