Day Three Preliminaries
Although the swimming at the Shaw Center in Saskatoon has not been that fast in general the UVPCS athletes were among the strongest.
Despite fighting a cold Molly Gowans came on strong in the 400m Free to qualify in 14th spot at 4:27.0 Vicky Mock was just out of the action for tonight settling for 1st alternate in 4:30. Jon McKay qualifed 17th on the men's side in a 4:03.
15 year old Lucas Tyler's 100m Fly was just off his best at 58.6. He did not advance.
In the 200m back Lauren Crisp's 2:20 was her best ever prelim swim and moved her up into 13th and just out of the top 10.
The UVPCS women's 4x100 Free relay finished in 4:04 but did not make it through to the final 10.
Competition begins tonight at 5:00 PST.
