UBC - Day One
The First day of the BC Senior Open at UBC was very strong for UVPCS. Gowans takes Silver. Crisp strikes Gold. Beland snatches bronze
400 Fr: Molly Gowans(4:20) took Silver in the the open category to Emily Overholt. In the 18 and U division Lauren Crisp finished 9th in a best(4:37.1). Rachel Sawchuk was right behind for 10th also a PB(4:37.4). Anna Letkeman had a best in the prelims and was just over at night to conclude in 16th.
200Fr 18 and U Nick Beland was 13th(2:04) and Aiden Longcroft-Harris 16th(2:05)
50 Fly Open: Jeremy Lynn 7th in a big best strking a second off his time(27.0)
100Br Open: Ian Williams swam blind with his goggles full from the start to snap two seconds off his best and finish 7th.
200Fly 18 and U: Kennedy Aragon-Scriven moved up to seventh in a best(2:32.0)
50 Free 18 and U: Rachel Sawchuk 9th(28.4) ws he top swimmer inthe B Final. Nick Beland took the bronze just over his PB(25.3)
100k 18 and U: Lauren Crisp came from behind to decisively take Gold(1:05.5). Molly Gowans was .2 over her morning result for fourth(1:06.2)
4x100F.R. Men were 6th(3:45.2) Beland, Williams, Lynn and Howe. Justin howe anchored slicing a second off his PB.
