Gowans took on the challenge of a faster US competitor and breaks VIR record in 200Fr

14 year old Gowans set a more moderate pace than in the heats over the first 50m. This set her up to take down the Vancouver Island Record and club record but in second spot.. She put a great effort into the final 50m falling just short of Metzsch of Portland the event winner by .26.

New Western Cuts for Carter and Beland.

Emma Carter made her first Western cut tonight in 100 Br. She finished 2nd knocking a second off of her prelim time and earning her way to the Western Canadian Champs. Beland also added his name to the list for Westerns with a 7th place conclusion in 50Fr.
