Day 2 Report from Richmond

The results from day two of the FastSwim Invitational are in…PCS is swimming tough. We had major time drops and some great racing. With one more day to go we are looking forward to another exciting set of competition.

400IM
Jordan Andrusak - while just off her best came away with another win 14-15 Girls in 4:57
Vicky Mock added a best to finish second also in 4:57 for 16+ Girls
Jackson Sinclair lopped off a chunk of time leaving 6 seconds off the board. He came in 4th for 16+ Boys.
Raymond Chou also a best finished 11th scratching 18 sec from his PB.

50 Fly
Annie Macintosh closed well to finish in 6th spot at 30.7

This is where we really got started..
Lauren Crisp punched out in first place straight away and there she stayed clearing 1:00 for the first time. Her result at 59.53 was a big step forward in 12-13 girls
Minutes later teammates Molly Gowans and Rachel Sawchuk added a 1+3 wallop with Gowans setting a new club and regional record and took another jump toward the provincial mark at 57.4. Sawchuk, while just off her best from last week swam her own race for third ending in 59.8 in 14-15 girls.
All the excitement continued for Vicky Mock also jumping under :60 for the first time while claiming a silver. 16 + girls Annie Macintosh was 11th in 1:01.

Nick Beland took fifth in :54 for 16 + boys.

200 Back
The winning ways continued and times kept dropping in the evenings fourth event. Crisp what back at it swimming away with the gold in 2:16 for 12-13 girls
Molly Gowans was the big surprise in the back raking 5 seconds off her PB on the day cruising to first in 2:18. 14-15 girls. Coming first and 3rd in the B Final were teammates Sawchuk in 2:24 and Anna Letkeman in 2:29.

Final event of the evening was 100Br
Jordan Andrusak continued her unbeaten streak claiming first in 1:13 for 14-15 girls.
Jackson Sinclair was again out winning the B Final in 1:11. Ray Chou took 3rd in the b Final in 1:12.
