Day Two Hot in the Pool
The second day of competition at Saanich Commonwealth pool was hot and humid ...and fast for the PCS athletes. After Day Two, PCS remains out front in the team score over 100 points ahead of rivals Richmond Rapds and Island Swimming.
The eveing saw new records set by Michael Schmidt in 200IM (club record 11-12 boys) and Antony Gutierrez (800 and 1500Fr 11-12 Boys), as well as the Girls 15 and over team (Sawchuk, Ballantyne, Lawrance, Gowans) setting new marks for 15-17 Club and VIR regional record.
Antony Gutierrez added his final time to qualify for Age Group Nationals. Grace MacDonald and Keir Ogilvie both were under their first qualifying times.
