PCS Top Women's team after Day One

Day one in Quebec City at Canadian Age Group Nationals went very well for Victoria's Pacific Coast Swimming. At the conclusion PCS sits 1st on the girls side and 4th overall. Records fell and Gowans/Crisp went 1-3 in 200 Back as a highlight in a exciting night of racing.

The first event 100m Butterfly saw Sophie Lorette finish 6th in 12 and U(1:06.8), Jessica Luo take 5th in 13 and U(104.8), Allison Ballantyne drop .8 for 7th in 15 and U(104.1) and Lucas Tyler score silver in 16 and U boys(56.5) breaking his own regional mark.

in 200m Backstroke Hannah Lorette came 6th in a best in 14 and U girls(2:25.4). in a classic tight race Molly Gowans edged teammate Lauren Crisp in a 1-3 finish to break the Club Senior Record(2:14.7).

Up next, 50m Breaststroke 12year old Laura Rincon sliced .6 off her best for 7th. Michael Schmidt finished in a flurry moving from 5th to 2nd over the final meters to set another regional and club record for 12 and U boys(32.7).

In the final event of day one, 1500m Free Sophie Lorette took Gold in 12 and U girls breaking the VIR and club Record(18:25), Molly Gowans also Gold for 15 year girls, Eden Kormendy 5th in 14 and U(18:13), Erin Jennings(18:42) and Erin LawRance(17:50) both scored as well.

The Team scored look like Girls PCS 234, ELSC 168, MISS 167 and the Overall EKSC 322, PCSC 313, MISS 290 PCS 273
