Records Fall on Day One at Cracker 15

Day one went off smoothly for the over 800 swimmers in the competition. The Vounteers put on a great show hosting the largest number of competitors so far at Xmas Cracker and the atmosphere lead to record performances.

The 11-12 Girls team for PCS in the 200MR (Chen, Edwards, Lorette, Trudel) set Provincial and National Age group records in 2:04.98 smashing the NAGR of 205.39 set by Markham AC in 2007.

Molly Gowans swam to top spot in the 200 and 1500Fr. Over 200m her time of 158.86 established new 15-17 and Senior Records for Vanc Is Region and for PCS. The VIR record was held by Alexa Komarnycky of ISC from 2009. in the 1500m Gowan's 16:32.12 scraped 4 sec's off of her own 15-17 club record.

Lucas Tyler just bested Matt Fuller's 15-17 Club record, just weeks old, in 1:52.22 for 200m Freestyle.

Kale Murdock slid under his first qualifying swim in the 200m (150.7) for Olympic Trials. Anna Letkeman had her first 16-18 Age National time in 1500m.
