Richmond Swimfast 2014

It was an exciting first night at the Watermania pool in Richmond, BC for the PCS contingent.

200IM 14-15 girls: Lauren Crisp took top spot, while teammates Allison Ballantyne shopped 3 seconds off her best to finish 3rd and Eden Kormendy also improved her time for fourth place.

Rachel Sawchuk mowed down her previous best in 2:31 taking 2nd in the B final for 15 and Older girls.

200 Butterfly:

In 14-15 girls Molly Gowans surprised herself and al watching by decisively claiming first place in only her 2nd attempt at the event ever (including in the morning) in 2:25. Allison Ballantyne sliced a bunch off her PB for the 1-2 punch.

Justin Howe managed a best ever in 2:11 taking second spot.

Lauren Crisp added her second win in the 100m Back at 1:03 in 14-15 girls. Rachel Sawchul and Anna Letkeman were strong competitiors in the 16 and older age class compelting the distance in 5th and 6th respectively.

400m Freestyle Molly Gowans raored to the front and there she stayed unchallenged for the win in 4:14. Allsion Ballantyne rose for her third enthusiastic effort on the night to finish second behind her teammate in 4:34.7. Rachel Sawchuk connected big time and had her best time in the same event minutes later cranking out a 4:31. Anna Letkeman was third.

200 Fr Justin Howe rounded out the evening with a solid swim in the final to finish in 2:01
