Richmond Swimfast Finals on Sunday, Dec 14

200m Breaststroke
14 year old Eden Kormendy came to life and brought it hard in the 14-15 final moving from fourth in the morning to take gold in the evening in 2:43.

50m Freestyle

was just out of the medals in fourth at 27.6

200m Freestyle brought another sweep of the 14-15 girls medals for PCS.  Molly Gowans took first in 2:00.5, Allison Ballantyne came up big with her best performance to date (2:09.0) and  Lauren Crisp rounded out the medals in 2:10. Eden Kormendy improved on her prelim swim to finish 2nd in the B Final.

Rachel Sawchuk snatched silver by .02 in 2:10 during the 16&O girls race. While Anna Letkeman moved up one spot to finish 7th (2:16).

400m Freestyle
Justin Howe pressed to another bronze in 4:13.2

In the final event of the competition both PCS girls in the 14-15 100m Butterfly, Lauren Crisp and Molly Gowans swam to more best times. Gowans accelerated away over the first 50m to cinch the win in 1:05.6. Teammate, Crisp, closed fast over the final 25m to finish just behind at 1:06.5.

Gowans also came away with top female swim of the meet.

In all, it was a huge success for the PCS crew.
