Silver for Jon McKay at Junior Pan Pacific Championships!

Racing for Canada in Maui yesterday, Jon McKay came away with a Silver Medal in the 1500m Freestyle in a new PCS Senior Record time of 15:21.82.  Jon also swam the heats of the 200 butterfly yesterday in a new best time of 2:02.72 which put him 10th overall, and second Canadian, but he scratched at night to focus on the 1500 final.

Junior PanPacs is an annual meet that regularly attracts the best Junior swimmers (18 and under) in the world, with some of the top young talent from countries including the USA, Australia, Japan, China, New Zealand, Mexico, Fiji, and Canada.

Vicky Mock also swum the 800 Fr yesterday, placing 17th overall, adding a few seconds to her best time as she concentrates on the Open Water this weekend.

Both Jon and Vicky next swim Sunday, Aug 31, in the 10km Freestyle.
