Stephanie Horner Qualifies for 2016 Olympic 10km Swim Qualifier

PCS coached, Vikes Alum, and two time Olympian Stephanie Horner swam a very important 10km race in Fort Myers today.  The field was packed with great Open Water swimmers from around the world, but Stephanie's main goal remained clear: finish as one of the top two Canadian's in the race.  Three Canadian swimmers were invited to compete, and the top two would be chosen to compete in Portugal with a chance to qualify for the Olympics.

Stephanie finished the race as the top Canadian, finishing in 16th place, out-touching the second Canadian swimmer Jade Dusablon from Quebec by only .2 seconds.

Four years ago, Richard Weinberger competed in Portugal to qualify for the London Olympics at the same race, and now Stephanie will be training hard with the same goal in mind.

Way to go Stephanie!
