Western Canadian Championships 2015

Edmonton:

Day One of the Western Canadian Champs began well for the group of 10 from PCS.

200 Fr Molly Gowans(15) qualified in top spot 2:03.51, just over her best and followed up taking top spot in 100m Backstroke as well. On top of this she will race from number one in the 800 Fr and anchor the 4x100F.R. for the team. That is all in a day's work for this youngster.

Allison Ballantyne(15) in her first Westerns qualifed 13th in the 200Fr in 2:13.25 also just over her best. Ballantyne will swim for the club's relay  tonight.

Eden Kormendy(14) slipped into the top 10 final in 200m Breaststroke in 2:46.81 and will look to move up in the final. Eden will also compete the 800Fr from 10th spot tonight.

Lauren Crisp(15) cruised to 3rd in 100Bk in 1:06.33, just one of her 7 races today! She will represent the club in th freestyle relay.

Finals go at 6:00 MST.
