Western Canadian Champs 2015

Edmonton: PCS Top 8 teams. Women 6th. More gold final Day.

The final day of competition at Western Canadian Champs was another strong one for the Bolts. In spite of fatigue the team continued to show spirit and speed. The group remained impressive in their leadship and vocal support for those on the blocks and it showed on the score board.

in 200Fly Molly Gowans and Allison Ballantyne held their positions. Justin Howe crept upward through his race to finish 6th(2:12). Stefan Nasedkin improved on his prelim performance stopping at 14th(2:19).

Molly Gowans was back on the blocks a short time later to earn the bronze in 50m Feestyle, her 10th medal!(27.4)

in the 200IM Eden Kormendy(16th) and Lauren Crisp(12th) both moved up and acheived personal bests. Allison Ballantyne was disqualified.

The 1500m for the men gave Justin Howe another improvement opportunity and he took it moving up to 7th place in 17:02. Stefan Nasedkin finished 10th(17:24). Earlier in the day also in thw 1500m Molly Gowans took Gold(17:06) setting a regional and club 15-17 record. Eden Kormendy was 18th.

The 4x50 M.R was the final event of the competition. In spite of it being the team's weakest relay the women took 7th (2:04) and a 151-7 Club Record. (Crisp, Carter, Ballantyne, Gowans).

Overall the team claimed 11 medals and set 11 Records.
