2010 PCS Xmas Cracker Invitational Meet

The 9th Annual PCS Xmas Cracker Invitational was one of the largest meets we have hosted to date, with 27 teams and 609 athletes plus coaches from throughout BC, Alberta and the Yukon represented. UVPCS alone had 118 swimmers entered in the meet.

Our individual event winners included: Eleanora Dalling, Derek Doerksen, Ryan Howe, Ian Mattock, Lauren McMillan, Rosie Moulton, Annika Schmuck, Nicholas Sinclair, Liz Sissons, Eric Stein, Sage Sturgeon and David Vizsolyi.

Second place finishers were: Sophia Borchers, Alexandra Kierstead, Emma Milner, Kristopher Neilson, Danielle Newton, Ben Partridge, Kaela Richardson, Heidi Ullrich, and Allison Wood.

Further top-3 places were achieved by: Ian Brown, Kim Bryan, Carlene Creyke, Katelyn Hayward, Justin Howe, Nathan Howe, David Killy, Anna Letkeman, Zac Parkes and Tyler Smith.

Rounding out the top-8 were Nival Bissoon, Hanna Carter, Eric Christiansen, Emily Ding, Rory Hills, Evan Letkeman, Victoria Mock, Savannah Moneo, Michael Schmidt, Jade Simpas, MJ Sorba, Nicole Stauft, Aidan Thirkell and William Vosper.

Numerous Xmas Cracker meet records also fell, including to the following UVPCS swimmers: Ryan Howe (13-14 50 Butterfly–also a Vancouver Island Regional Record ) and Ella Dalling (15 & Over 50 and 200 Backstroke).

Several UVPCS team records fell as well: Kristopher Neilson (10 & Under 50, 100 and 200 Breaststroke); Rosie Moulton (13-14 50 Freestyle); Lauren McMillan (13-14 200 Breaststroke); Ryan Howe (13-14 100 and 200 Freestyle; 50 Butterfly); and Zac Parkes (15-17 1500 Freestyle).

UVPCS finished the meet in 1st place overall, with a score of 3490 points. Congratulations to all of our swimmers and coaches on a great meet!
