2012 AAA Snapshot from Coach Rod

PCS Finished 12th in the point rankings - while not our best ranking we did score very close to the maximum we could have netted based on our potential before the meet began. So it was an extremely good, consistent performance across the meet. We did succeed in getting just about every swimmer into finals that had a realistic chance of doing so. The group of 24 competitors were very supportive of each other.

Thanks and congratulations to our coaching staff at the meet: Rod Barratt, Mark Lancaster and Brent Gaudreau.

The following swimmers broke club records:
15-17 Girls
Alex Kierstead clipped the 100 Breaststroke record in the heats at 1:13.16, breaking the old record set by teammate Rosie Moulton.  In the finals of 200 Breaststroke, Alex also took down the old record set by Chantal Huard in 2003.

15-17 Boys
Jon McKay continued his assault on the record books adding new records in 800 Freestyle (previously held by Nick Sinclair) and the 1500 Freestyle (previously held by Zac Parkes).  In the relays, Ryan Howe, Aidan Thirkell, Jon McKay and Evan Letkeman notched in new marks in 4x50 Freestyle and 4x100 Medley.

Congratulations swimmers!

A full story of all the PCS swimmers will be posted when the meet results file is available.
