2014 Canadian National Championships

Day Two Preliminaries

The second day of the meet arose hazy amid the smoke from forest fires, and it was a bit of a hazy day for team UVPCS.

In spite of being a bit off the mark Jordan Andrusak slid into the B Final in 400IM in 5:07 breaking the 15-17 club record in the process (Moulton 5:08 2013).

Lauren Crisp was just over her best in the 50m Backstroke and did not advance.

Molly Gowans did not make the finals cut in 100 Fr at 59.5.

The relays at the end of the session were very strong for the team and the girls (Gowans, Crisp, Andrusak, Mock) advanced to the final in 10th spot. Their time of 8:40.31 set a 15-17 club record (Koerner, Moulton, Schmidt, Newman 8:41 2011)

UVPCS men were 14th in 7:52.98 (McKay, Howe, King, Tyler) and did not advance.

The relays are the final event in the program tonight.

Racing starts at 5:00 PST
