8 Medals for Team BC on Day Two in Tucson

Day two dawned golden fo Team BC. Molly Gowans ran away with the 400 FR (4:17.7) to take her second gold for the team.

100 Freestyle
Finals began with 100 FR, MacKenzie Paddington finished 5th (59.7) and Rachel Sawchuk 8th (1:00.2), Jordyn Ryan came 23rd (1:01.1) in her best. Lauren Crisp had a best in the D Final (1:01.4). Allison Ballantyne also had a best for PCS( 1:01.1).

On the boys side, Tai Long Singh swam to his best for 8th against Olympian Matt Gevers.

200 Butterfly
The second event of the evening featured Jesse Gibson coming on strong at the end of the race finishing 2nd (2:18.8), Megan Dalke was 3rd (2:22.2), Jordyn Ryan took 5th (2:22.31) and Brooke Lamoureux 7th (2:25..9)

Colin Gilbert finished hard but was touched out for 2nd (2:06.59), Chris Baker 4th (2:08.0), Lucas Tyler 5th (2:08.33) and Connor Skuse 12th (2:16.4).

200 Backstroke
Lauren Crisp 5th (2:23.1), Eden Kormendy 22nd for PCS (2:31.8).

Josh Zakala 2nd for the team's fourth medal of the night (2:06.5), Ethan Phillips 7th (2:14,2), Andrew Woinoski, 14th (2:18.1) and Conner Skuse 21st (2:22.8).

400 Freestyle
Molly Gowans 1st, Megan Dalke 5th (4:26.5), MacKenzie Paddington 6th (4:33.0), Brooke Lamoureux 7th (4:34.4), Hannah Espenko10th (4:37.3), Haley Bennett for PCS, 14th (4:39.1).

Colin Gilbert was back in action was 5th (4:09.2), Paul Zou 10th (4:08.4) and Andrew Woinoski 12th (4:18.8).

4x100 Freestyle Relay
Girls A Team took top spot to earn BC's fifth medal Sawchuk, Gibson, Paddington, Gowans (3:56.3). The girls B Team were 4th (Dalke,  Lamoureux, Crisp and Ryan).

Boys relay strength leaned on a strong starting leg from Josh Zakala for 2nd (Zou, Singh, Gilbert).  While the B Team took the final medal of the evening for Team BC (Baker, Skuse, Phillips, Tyler).

Racing resumes tomorrow at 9:00 PST.
