Day 1 From Age Group Nationals

Day 1 Update from Coach Mark

Our first night at the Age Group Nationals in Winnipeg was a good one with 4 final swims and some really exciting results...

Our first final of the night came with Ryan Howe swimming his 100 butterfly in a new best time of 1:01.40 and finishing 6th.

Second race of the night was the 14 yr old girls 200 back with Salin Bol finishing 2nd in her first ever National standard time of 2:23.51. Coming within two seconds of the club record.

The next race of the night saw our first win of the Age Group Nationals, Stefanie Schmidt finishing off the competition in 15 yr old girls 200 back with a time of 2:18.25.

Sophia Borchers swam the 50 breaststroke final in a new best time of 36.02 coming in 6th place.

Zac Parkes came in 2nd after his morning swim in the 1500 freestyle also setting his first LC national cut and taking out Craig Dagnall`s club record in a time of 16:21.20.

Lauren McMillan set an new club record in the 50 breaststroke in the morning heats with a time of 35.86. Sophia Borchers also set a new club record in the 50 breast with a time of 36.02.
