Day 2 of CIS Championships

The 2012 CIS Championships continued today, with several strong performances and best times for the UVic swimmers competing.

Zac Parkes had two great swims in the 400 Freestyle, cutting four seconds off of his personal best time in the morning, and another four seconds off of that to win the consolation final in a time of 3:54.69.

Ian Mattock improved similarly in the 200 Butterfly, knocking almost three seconds off of his best time to place 6th in the B final in 2:04.59.  Both Ian and Zac have their best events to look forward to tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Stephanie Taekema continued her streak of personal bests in the 200 Breaststroke with 2:39.16.  Liz Sissons improved on her best time in the 200 Breaststroke by nearly a second, and scored a second personal best in the 50 Butterfly, this time by over a second.

The relays were strong again for the Vikes, with almost 100% seasonal best times from the swimmers.
