Nanaimo Fall Invitational 2016

The Nanaimo Fall Invitational was considered very successful by the PCS coaches. All of the PCS swimmers put on some great performances in Nanaimo showcasing some of their newfound abilities in turning and under water dolphin kick, with the total group having a really high Best Time percentage. Congratulations to those who went 100% Best Times! Some highlights of the meet included Kali Lancaster powering through her 200 breastroke to a 2:58.86 earning a 1st place finish, Daniel Damian dropping 13.43 seconds to 1st place in the 100 Breastroke in 1:19.70, Taiki Hiraoka’s 400 freestyle 2nd place freestyle at 4:56.29, and Jacob Rambo’s 2nd place finish in the 100 freestyle 56.88, Nolan Crisp broke 2 club records, both of his own.. 50 Fly 34.60 and the 50 Back 35.22. We had a number of swimmers competing in events they don`t normally swim which made for some really big time drops. Young team traveler Samuel Yu (8) proved his toughness by surviving his first meet completing his first 100 freestyle and backstroke, as well as 50 freestyle and backstroke. Next stop for the Bolt’s is the first Sunday Race Series this coming weekend, followed by the Island Cup over the Remembrance Day weekend. Have a safe, fun and scary Halloween!
