Olympic Trials Come to a Close in Montreal

Olympic Trials wrapped up in Montreal today, with three out of our four competitors taking part in the action.

Stefanie Schmidt set two new best times in her top event, the 200 Backstroke.  Her morning swim landed her in 13^th position, and heading into the consolation final with a time of 2:15.85; Schmidt ended up finishing 2^nd in the B final with an improved time of 2:15.75.

Nicholas Sinclair and Ian Mattock both competed in the 200 IM, finishing within four tenths of each other.  Mattock earned his 5^th consecutive best time of the meet, finishing in 2:08.68, with Sinclair touching in just ahead of him at 2:08.29.
