PCS Results from Fran Crippen Memorial Swim Meet

Congratulations to all five of the UVPCS swimmers who traveled down to the Fran Crippen Memorial Swim Meet of Champions in Mission Viejo, California.

Nick Sinclair was there as well representing Canada on the Junior National Relay Initiative Team. Rachael Newman, Stefanie Schmidt, Alex Kierstead, Ryan Howe and Ian Mattock represented UVPCS.
 
The experience was a good learning opportunity for everyone.

Stefanie Schmidt won the B final in the 200 back, finishing 8th overall with a new a best time. She also set a new best time, new Club Record and made a Nat standard in the 15–17 year old 1500 free.  In her other events, Stefanie was: 31st in 100 back, 59th 400 free and 87th 200 free.

Nick Sinclair made the B final in the 200 back, placing 14th overall. Nick was also 24th in the 400 free C final and 23rd in the 200 free C final.

Ian Mattock won C final in the 200 IM for 17th place overall. Ian was also 30th in the 400 IM, 38th in the 200 fly (with a best time) and 54th in the 100 fly.

Rachael Newman was 32nd in the 100 fly, 37th in the 200 fly, 74th in the 200 free, 76th in the 50 free, and 78th in the 100 free.

Alex Kierstead had best time in 400 free for 71st place, 31st in the 100 breastroke, and 46th in the 200 breastroke.

Ryan Howe placed 67th in the 400 IM setting a best time.  Ryan was also 45th in the 100 back, 64th in the 200 back, and 126th in the 100 free.
