PCS Wins Multiple Swim BC Awards

Congratulations to swimmer Richard Weinberger,  level 5 official and one of PCS' key builders Margaret Penning, and coaches Ron Jacks, Rod Barratt, David Creel and Cody Flegel in winning awards at the SwimBC awards banquet on Saturday in Whistler.

Richard won the award for Top Open Water Swimmer in the Province for his efforts at the 2017 World Championships.  Richard has won this award a few times before as you might expect.

Margaret won the Officiating award for the 2016-17 season for her continued excellence as a high-level official.  Margaret has never won this award, but has previously won the Volunteer Of The Year award.

Coach Ron won the province's Open Water Coach of the Year Award.

Coaches Rod, David and Cody won one of the age group coaching excellence awards as their swimmers combined to gain the most points as a club in one of the specific age ranges.
