Report From Day 1 of Provincial AA LC Championships

Report from Coach Mark:

"We had a pretty good night at the AA Championships. In the afternoon Katherine Krause swam to a bronze medal in the 800 freestyle in a best time. Starting off the finals was the 200 IM and Katherine again brought home a bronze medal with another best time. Ryan Gibson finished up 7th as well. Next event was the 50 freestyle where we had 4 swimmers competing. Patricia Horwood coming in second, Anna Letkeman third, Heidi Ullrich 5th, and Ana MacLeod 6th. Heidi went straight into the 200 fly improving on her morning swim by more than 15 seconds setting a new best time and narrowly missing the AAA cut with a silver medal and a time of 3:05.23. 100 Back was next and our first Gold went to Lauren Crisp (10) in a time of 1:23.92. Patricia came in 7th. Katherine was 4th by just a touch in 1:18.62. Our girls 11/12 relay, with Heidi, Anna, Patricia, and Rachel Sawchuck, was second in 2:15.11."
