Results From the Last Day of AAA's

Here is the news from Day 4 in Kamloops...

The night started off with the 100 butterfly. Our first swimmer of the night was Lauren McMillan with a time of 1:09.09 and a 4th place finish. The second swimmer was Rosie Moulton. Her time was 1:07.38 finishing 4th. Rachel Newman was also 4th in her 100 fly 1:05.41. Ryan Howe was next breaking through the curse of 4th place finishes with a bronze medal in a time of 1:01.71.

The next event of the night was 200 Breaststroke. Tabitha Zammit led us out with a 3:16.04 finishing 7th in her first ever AAA final. Lauren won this time in her 200 Breaststroke with a time of 2:46.01. Hanna Carter was next coming in second with a time of 2;49.31. Alex Kierstaed finished 5th in 2:52.61. Next came Sophia Borchers finishing 4th in 2:51.05. Savannah Moneo swam to a 6th place finish in the 16 & Overs with a time of 2:48.13.

Then came the 400 Freestyle where we had four swimmers make the final. Stefanie Schmidt was 2nd in her age group with a time 4:36.36. Katelyn Hayward 4:44.78 was 2nd in the 15 yr old age group.

The last event of the night was the medley relays. Our first relay was the 13/14 girls. Stefanie Schmidt, Alexandra Kierstead, Lauren McMillan, & Rosie Moulton swam to a new club record time of 2:08.14 finishing second. Then our senior girls (Allison Wood, Savannah Moneo, Rachel Newman, and Katelyn Hayward) also set a club record in a time of 2:04.26 slicing 4 seconds off the old record and adding to the collection of fourth place finishes for the night.
