Session 2 of 2017 Nanaimo SC Meet

The swimmers came in to finals in Nanaimo smoking hot after a very successful morning. We started off the night with the 100m butterfly race with our 10 and under superstar Bridget Rupert touching in 2nd with a best time by 13 seconds, and in 3rd we had Imogen Hawes who dropped 5 seconds. In the 11-12 age category we had Maia Denis touching in 2nd with a time of 1:17.03 and Nolan Crisp in 3rd with a time of 1:19.16. In the 15 and over category we had Lucas Tyler in 1st with a time of 54.96, 3rd place was Cale Murdock with a time of 59.00. On our girls side, Emma Murdock with a  2nd place finish touching with a time of 1:09.71. Next we had the 50 breast, the 10 and under top finishes were Annika Rupert in 2nd with a best time of 44.74, in the 11-12 we had Atanas Tchaouchev in 1st with a strong 39.80, and Gavin Gao in 3rd with a time of 47.20. On the girls side we had Julia Hajash come in 3rd with 43.45. In the 13-14 Hana Edwards came in 1st with a 35.83, on the boys side we had Dexter Gilbert in 2nd with a time of 39.77 and close behind was his teammate Bradley Rumball with a time of 40.33. In the 15 and over category we had several top finishes, in 1st place on the girls side, Kara Wilson went a fantastic 34.55 and in 3rd we had Andrea Farmer with a 36.50. The boys had a 1st, 2nd and 3rd sweep led by Dereg Williams on top with an astonishing 29.86, Daniel Greer with a 30.09 and in 3rd was Zachary Dumas with a 31.74. On to the 200 back in the 10 and under we had Kate Marcovitz finish 2nd with a 3:12.86. In the 11-12 we had Nolan Crisp finish 2nd with a time of 2:36.95 and Griffin Arnatt very close behind with a time of 3:27.07. On the girls side we had Naeva Scott-Bouris place 2nd with a time of 2:36.90. 13-14 we had Hana Edwards place 1st with a time of 2:23.32. In the 15 and over we took both 1st with Emma Murdock going a 2:29.87 and Ethan Phillips go a 2:10.98. Lastly was the 50 free where in the 10 and unders Bridget Rupert came 2nd with a 32.97, 11-12 Naeva Scott-Bouris came 3rd with a best time of 30.03 and in 13-14 we had Hana Edwards come 1st with a 29.06 and behind in 2nd was Lily Parker with a 29.35 and in the 15 and over Kara Wilson come 1st with a 28.42 Emma Murdock close behind with a 28.96 and for the boys we had Ian Williams in 1st with a 24.63 with Cale Murdock close behind with a 24.91 and in 3rd was Daniel Greer with a time of 24.97. Great swimming by all the PCS swimmers and hoping for another successful session tomorrow morning!
