Thanks to Everyone for a Successful 2011 Xmas Cracker Meet

The 10th Annual PCS Xmas Cracker Invitational was one of the largest meets we have hosted to date, with 24 teams and 604 athletes plus coaches from throughout BC, Alberta and the Yukon represented. This year UVPCS had 100 swimmers entered in the meet.

Our individual event winners included: Ian Brown, Lauren Crisp, Ryan Howe, Ian Mattock, Rachael Newman, Zac Parkes, Stefanie Schmidt, Eric Stein, Aidan Thirkell, and Richard Weinberger.

Second place finishers were: Emily Gerson, Jon McKay, Danielle Newton, Elizabeth Sissons, Tyler Smith, and MJ Sorba.

Further top-3 places were achieved by: Finn Barker, Alexandra Kierstead, Ann MacIntosh, Victoria Mock, and Stephanie Taekema.

Rounding out the top-8 were: Salin Bol, Emma Carter, Hanna Carter, Bobby Harling, David Hiebert, Patricia Horwood, Justin Howe, Tanner Lawless, Evan Letkeman, Rosie Moulton, Kristopher Neilson, Siobhan Newell, Nicholas Nolt, Julia Schmidt, Michael Schmidt, David Sikli, William Vosper and Allison Wood.

Several UVPCS team records fell as well: Michael Schmidt (10 & Under 50 Free); Rachael Newman (15-17 50 and 100 Butterfly).

As everybody knows, our kids' swim meets happen because of dedicated volunteers and we have a great group!!
