Updates From Moses Lake

An update from Coach Mark:

Moses Lake is true to it`s regular summer weather with highs today in the mid 90`s. Tomorrow is supposed to be approximately the same.

The 11 swimmers we have competing are doing well with some of the highlights coming from Lauren Crisp, 2nd in the 50 Backstroke with the bright sun high in the sky so an extra good effort was required to finish with reasonable times and not bump into the lane ropes on the backstroke races.

The girls 10 & Under medley relay also came in second consisting of Lauren Crisp, Rachel Allen, Victoria Von Saachen-Nash, and Emma Reinsch.

Victoria was also 4th in the 100 Breaststroke.

We have three first time swimmers this meet. One from Switzerland Jan Fankhauser (8) who`s family is friends with Mark from the Australia trip he did last year. Second one is Amanda Whipple (8) from the Barbados, who came to swim a summer camp and thought the Moses Lake meet sounded like fun. The last first timer is Kali Lancaster (6) swimming in her first International meet.

The kids are having fun singing the anthems in both French and English and enjoying the local Mexican cuisine with 31 of us for dinner tonight!
