Weinberger Wins Sprint Tune-up in Argentina

UVPCS swimmer Richard Weinberger competed in the 1600m sprint yesterday in Argentina, besting Chip Peterson of the USA and Allan Do Carmo of Brazil to win a gold medal and the $1000 cash prize.  This is the first time he has won the 1600m “sprint”.

Weinberger will be competing in the 10km in Viedma, Argentina this weekend, where he can hope to secure his spot in the Portugal qualification meet.
