World Championship Trials Day 2

Day 2 of World Championship Trials saw a fairly quiet day for PCS.  The events swum - 100 Free, 100 Breast, 400 IM and 50 Back.

In the 100 Free, Jessica Luo finished in 26th overall in a time of 58.43, and was the only 15 year old in the event.

Sophie Tarrant just missed out on a B-Final in the 100 breast, finishing in 19th place in a time of 1:13.09.  On the men's side, Michael Schmidt also barely missed out on swimming at night, finishing 18th in a best time of 1:07.14.

In a similar story, Jordan Andrusak finished 17th in the 400 IM, going 5:02.94.  Hana Edwards finished in 30th place in a time of 5:13.92.

In the 50 Back, Hannah Lorette placed 29th in a time of 32.59 to finish up the morning's swims for PCS heading into the day's Time Trials.

In Time Trials, many PCS swimmers went after their best times in these same events, including one club record swim.  Cale Murdock finished a tenth of a second of his best 100 free, going 53.04.  Buzz Mallender dropped half a second in a time of 53.36. Keir Ogilvie, after beating Nick Sinclair's 200 Freestyle 13-14 PCS record, took another of Nick's records today in the 100 Free in a time of 56.06.  Anthony Gutierrez finished just off his best time, finishing in 57.26.  In the 400 IM, Erin Lawrance added 3 seconds to finish in 5:10.67.
