The 14th Annual PCS Xmas Cracker Meet is just 4 weeks away!

The elves have been busy,
Checking lists twice,
But your name is not on them,
Neither naughty or nice!

So here's how to fix that,
As quick as you can.
Volunteer on the website,
Would be your best plan.

Volunteer early!
That would be right.
And you could see Tigh Na Mara,
For not one, but 2 nights!

Save the Pool!

UVic may be closing the outdoor pool at the Ian Stewart complex indefinitely.  A few PCS parents have organized a farewell/save-the-pool event for tomorrow. The idea is to pack the pool with as many people as possible to demonstrate how useful the facility is to everyone.

The Save the Pool event will take place on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 12:00-12:30pm at the Ian Stewart Outdoor Pool.

Stop the closing of the pool by joining us on deck or in the water. Let's pack the pool and make a splash!

Jon McKay wins second Silver Medal at Jr. Pan Pacific Championships

Jon McKay raced in the 10km Open Water race yesterday, winning his second silver medal of the competition after his club record performance in the 1500 Fr on Wednesday.  The junior Pan Pacific 10km race was combined with the senior Pan Pacific Championship open water field after their race was postponed due to water quality concerns, making the field much quicker and experienced than expected.  Jon stayed with the front pack until about 500m to go before falling back, easily beating all but one of the junior competitors.
