1 Gold and 4 Bronze Highlight Day 2 of Age Group Nationals

Day 2 of Age Group Nationals presented success as
well as frustration with Relay disqualifications as PCS
continues to fight hard in Calgary.

Jessica Luo started things off right for PCS by winning
the 100 Freestyle for 14 year olds in a Best Time of 58.18.

Three Bronze Medal performances followed, as Hana
Edwards fought her way up from 8th to grab the Bronze
in the 13 year olds 400 IM in a time of 5:19.55, Jordan
Andrusak clawed up from 7th in heats to third in the final
of the girls 16-18 400 IM in a best time of 4:59.74, and finally Michael Schmidt went from 4th to 3rd in the boys 13 year old 400 IM in
a best time of 4:57.42.

Thomas Chapman bettered his Preliminary time by a second to grab 7th overall in the boys 13 year old 400 IM in a time of 5:11.04.

Lily Chen swam her first final of the weekend in teh 50 Backstroke, finishing in a big best time of 31.68 for 5th overall after qualifying
in 7th.

The Girls 13-14 4x200 Freestyle relay of Grace MacDonald, Sophie Lorette, Hana Edwards and Jessica Luo raced to 5th place
overall in a time of 9:03.89 after Jessica Luo, swimming the anchor leg, chased down and passed three teams with her split of
2:09.15.

The Boys 13 and Under relay of Michael Schmidt, Dylan Kormendy, Keir Ogilvie and Anthony Gutierrez finished on the Podium with
a Bronze Medal in a time of 8:46.64.

Unfortunately there was a mixup with the relay order for both of the 15 and over Girls Relays, who would have finished in 4th and
11th place overall, but were ultimately disqualified.

The girls team slipped to 7th place in the team rankings with 211 points, and the boys finished the day 11th with 120 points.

Follow along as we continue to fight for the top of the podium on day 3, when the 100 Breast, 200 Fly, 50 Free and 800 Free will be
swum.
