Age Group Nationals - Day 4

Molly Gowans strikes again. Gold in 200Fr 2:05.40

In Montreal the fourth day of competition began with the 200 BR. Blair McDowell held back on the first 100 but roared back for a best time, a regional and club record and the bronze medal in 12 and under girls. Minutes later Jordan Andrusak swam from the front to lead thru the 100 but could not quite manage to hold off a fast charging field in the second half finishing in her second best time in 5th spot.

100 BK followed with Lauren Crisp taking the gold in 13 year girls breaking her own club record from the morning in 1:05. Ryan Howe managed the lane ropes better in his backstroke.

Molly Gowans maintained her assault on the record book in 200 FR with a golden performance. Molly reset the 200 club record in 2:05.42

The 13-14 girls 4x100 FR relay had a strong effort finishing 7th.

There are over 120 teams in the competition. UVPCS girls stayed in 7th spot and we are in 10th in the combined score with one day to go in the pool side.  Then it is on to the Open Water 5km race on Monday morning.
