Final Night of Summer Nationals ends with a BANG!

Jon McKay again dropped a ton of time in one of his best events today, this time in the grueling 1500 Freestyle.  Coming into this meet, Jon was already the club record holder in the 1500 for boys 15-17 years of age, with a time of 16:05.39.  Today, Jon dropped over 20 seconds to finish 5th overall in a time of 15:43.91!  Not only did Jon better his own club record in the 1500, but his 800m split of 8:19.45 also took over 12 seconds off the 800m club record, previously held by Zac Parkes.  Jon is only getting started, as he will now turn his focus to Canada Games, which are held in Sherbrooke, QC in just 2 weeks.  Make sure to follow Jon's results in the near future!!

PCS had 2 swimmers achieve top-20 finishes tonight, both in the 1500m Freestyle as Craig Dagnall swam to 11th overall in a time of 16:16.91.  Craig brought home team points in all individual races he swam this weekend, the 400, 800, and 1500m freestyle, his best result being the 800m freestyle where he took home the bronze medal!  Way to go Craig!

National swimmers Rosie Moulton, Ryan Howe, Evan Letkeman, and Vicky Mock will race again next weekend at the 2013 Age Group Nationals, also in Montreal.  Make sure to follow their results, along with all of our other swimmers that will be joining them for this upcoming championship meet!
