Friday Nationals Update

UVPCS put forth more great swims at Summer Nationals today!  Evan Letkeman made the B-Final in the 200 Backstroke after swimming a Best Time of 2:10.06 - way to go Evan! At night Evan finished in 20th place with a time of 2:11.73.

We had 3 swimmers make the B-final of the 400 Freestyle today, as Craig Dagnall, Nicholas Sinclair, and Jon McKay qualified in 12th, 13th, adn 15th place respectively after heats.  At night, Jon McKay dropped a whopping 4 seconds off his best time to place second in the B-Final, and 12th overall, in a time of 4:00.04!  Jon was already the club record holder in the 15-17 age group in this event, but future swimmers are going to have to work even harder to take this record away from him now.  Craig Dagnall finished in 16th place in a time of 4:03.25, and Nicholas Sinclair finished in 20th place in a time of 4:05.53.

The team of Nicholas Sinclair, Ryan Howe, Craig Dagnall, and Evan Letkeman that earned the Bronze Medal in the 4x200 Fr Relay last night competed hard in the 4x100 Fr relay tonight, but someone was too excited to swim, and the team was disqualified.  Next time...

Follow our swimmers on the last day of Summer Nationals tomorrow, as Rosie Moulton, Ryan Howe, and Nicholas Sinclair compete in the 200 IM, Nicholas also competes in the 50 Freestyle, and Vicky Mock, Craig Dagnall, and Jon McKay take on the distance events - Vicky in the 800 Free, Craig and Jon in the 1500.
