Records Fall on Day One at Cracker 15

Day one went off smoothly for the over 800 swimmers in the competition. The Vounteers put on a great show hosting the largest number of competitors so far at Xmas Cracker and the atmosphere lead to record performances.

The 11-12 Girls team for PCS in the 200MR (Chen, Edwards, Lorette, Trudel) set Provincial and National Age group records in 2:04.98 smashing the NAGR of 205.39 set by Markham AC in 2007.

An Xmas Cracker Carol!

The PCS Xmas Cracker is just 3 days away. For your browsing enjoyment we've included a little Xmas Cracker Carol.
(Please sing to the tune of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town")

You better swim fast,
You better streamline,
Better flip turn,
I'm telling you why,
Christmas Cracker's coming to town.

We're making up heats,
And checking them twice,
We're gonna find out,
Who's got the best times,
Christmas Cracker's coming to town.

Bennett Cup Meet

2015 Bennett Cup was pretty generous for B group swimmers. Generous in solid swims and lots of experience.

We started Saturday finals with some great 4 x 50 IM relays. Our 12-13 boys (Dylan Kormendy, Tom Chapman, Jacob Rambo and Anthony Gutierrez) placed second, although they had to race the clock in the first heat. We won 14-15 girls category (Lily Chen, Emma Carter, Jessica Luo, Allison Ballantyne) and placed 3rd in girls 16 & over (Anna Letkeman, Haley Bennett, Erin Lawrance, Rachel Sawchuk).

Langley First Day Successes

We had a pretty good first day in Langley.. coming over on the first ferry and swimming “Shoes Off”: Joining into the meet without in-water warm-ups to add a little challenge.

Our first event up was 100 BK, Asia Trudel took on the competition and was the fastest qualifier going into finals. A good accomplishment, taking her own responsibility for her swimming as the coaches still had not arrived yet.
