Girls Relay Gold - AAA SC
Day One Summary for UVPCS
 
800 Freestyle
 
13 year Girls
Molly Gowans claimed silver while chopping 7 seconds off her best finishing in 9:13
Lauren Crisp was fifth, swimming 14 seconds her best in 9:39
 
Both girls were well under the Age National qualifying time and took a step closer the provincial team selection.
 
14 Year Girls
Anna Letkeman Destroyed her best splashing to 936 and a best by 22 seconds for 6th
Rachel Sawchuk was just over her best to score team points in 9:45
 
15 Year girls
Victoria Mock claimed silver, polishing a second off her best at 9:06
 
16 Year Girls
Hanna Carter also scored finishing in 8th spot at 9:16 and a new Age national Q time.
 
1500 Freestyle
 
15 Year Boys
Justin Howe was well back before the race began but  charged to 7th ripping 23 seconds from his PB in the event and qualified for this summer’s Age Group Nationals
Jackson Sinclair lopped off 31 seconds from his best at 16:53 also getting under the Age Group National qualifying time.
 
16 Year Boys
Jon McKay stuck it to the field to win the 16 and Over 1500m in his best as well a 15:40.2
That rounded out the individual events of day one.
 
The 4x100 Freestyle Relay followed with great success for PCS...
 
13-14 Girls A Team of Molly Gowans, Jordan Andrusak, Lauren Crisp and Rachel Sawchuk smashed the Provincial Record for the event set two years ago also by a PCS team. The girls time of 3:58.66
 
15+ Girls team stroked to the bronze medal and annihilated the club record by 5 seconds+ in 3:57.90. Way to go Rosie Moulton, Hanna Carter, Vicky Mock and Annie Macintosh!
 
on the boys side;...
 
15 and O saw the A Team of Ryan Howe, Brett Zollen, Mark Gresdal and Evan Letkeman take silver at the wall in a tight finish.
