UVPCS Second After Day Two at the 2013 AAA LC Championships

The second day here at UBC shaped up to be just as exciting as the first evening. After taking most of the senior national athletes home after day one the team swam very well on day two and ended just 45 points out of top spot behind Vancouver Pacific.

The evening began with the 50 Free - 11 yr old Jessica Luo finished with a bronze and a PB. In the 13 yr girls Molly Gowans took gold.

Michael Schmidt came through with his best to take fifth spot in the 11 and U boys.

Next up was 200 Fly...

Jordan Andrusak put up a good fight and came third in 14 yr girls.
Vicky Mock was seventh in her best time.

200IM and 400IM followed

Jessica Luo lopped 3 sec off of her best to snatch bronze. Michael Schmidt came 4th in his IM race taking 5 seconds off his personal best.
Lauren Crisp blew the field away with a great first 100 powering to her best by 3 sec and the top of the podium for 13 yr girls. Jordan Andrusak was at it again for the 14 yr girls silver.

Vicky Mock was 5th in 400IM

Relays finished out the night.

The 11-12 UVPCS girls rose to fifth (McDowell, Luo, McKenna, Lancaster)

The UVPCS 13-14 A Team took their second gold of the relays (Gowans, Crisp, Sawchuk, Andrusak) and the B Team was 10th (Pasemko, Ballantyne, Horwood, Letkeman)

15 and O Girls stroked to silver (Mock, Carter, Macintosh, Gowans)

Great going to all!
