2022-2023

Our first day of Vancouver Island Regionals started off strong wtih the long distance events in the morning. Swimmers Mila C., Maelle S., Adrina GC., and Sophia S. all placed 1st thorugh 4th in the women's 11-12 800m freestyle. All swimmers attained a personal best as well. In the 13 -14 category, Avery N placed first with a 20 second best time. Following was Elizabeth S., dropping 13 seconds off her best and June A. dropping 10 seconds off her previous best time. On the boy's side, Noah Z. placed second in the 11-12 800m freestyle with a best time of over 30 seconds. Eli H.

To raise funds for the Ukraine, one of our swimmers Katie McLaren has organized a swim-a-thon in February. The swim-a-thon will take placeon February 20th, 12pm - 1:30pm at Commonwealth Place. Swimmers will be swimming for 30 minutes as far as they can in a team of 4! All funds will go through the Red Cross foundation to the Ukraine. Our VIKES varisty team is participating in the 1st annual Vikes Giving Day taking place on February 1st, 2023. Our varisty coaches and swimmers strive for high performance competition and training. Supporting the VIKES team allows them to travel to National and International Competitions, paving their path to excellence.
