UVic-PCS Swimmers Show Well at Canadian World Swimming Championship Trials

Last weekend, Pacific Coast Swimming and the University of Victoria hosted the Canadian Swimming World Trials at Saanich Commonwealth Pool, bringing together the best that Canada has to offer in Swimming.

PCS sent a total of 10 swimmers to the trials which resulted in some great personal achievements.

Thank You To All The World Trials Volunteers

World Trials has wrapped up and we would like to congratulate all the swimmers and coaches for 4  fantastic days of competition.

It was a great meet and PCS also extends a huge Thank You! to all our volunteers.  A national meet, the size and quality of World Trials, does not happen without the efforts of all the dedicated volunteers both on-deck and behind the scenes.  We truly appreciate everyone's hard work to make the meet a success.

Thank you!

Smith and Letkeman Qualify for World Trials

Congratulations to Tyler Smith and Evan Letkeman for qualifying for the World Trials in April at SCP. During a time trial on Saturday morning (March 16th), Tyler swam strongly in the 1500 metres to better the qualifying standard by 15 seconds in 16:21. Evan hung on in the last 50 metres of the 200 metre butterfly to slip under the standard at 2:08:24.

Nice job Tyler and Evan, and of course Coach Ron and Coach Peter.
