2012 AAA Snapshot from Coach Rod

PCS Finished 12th in the point rankings - while not our best ranking we did score very close to the maximum we could have netted based on our potential before the meet began. So it was an extremely good, consistent performance across the meet. We did succeed in getting just about every swimmer into finals that had a realistic chance of doing so. The group of 24 competitors were very supportive of each other.

Vikes Compete in Day 1 of CIS Championships

With many of the UVic Olympic hopefuls taking this semester off, a smaller than usual Vikes team began competition at CIS Championships in Montreal today.

The Vikes got off to a bit of a shaky start, including a setback for Siobhan Newell, who injured her shoulder and missed out on the 4x100 Freestyle relay.

Rookies Zac Parkes and Stephanie Taekema both scored personal bests this morning as well, in the 200 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke respectively, with their best events still to come.
